Look At Pelosi!: I’m More Worried About Nukes In Pakistan

May 18th, 2009 | By

For the last two weeks, all eyes in the political realm have been focused on Nancy Pelosi. What did she know and when did she know it? Did the C.I.A. lie or is Pelosi’s nose starting to grow? If she did know and she didn’t say anything, isn’t that worse? Blah! Blah! Blah!

Trust and believe, I am no fan of Nancy Pelosi. I understand the Republicans left in the House and Senate, see this as the first wave in starting to crumble the Democrats lock hold on power. If they can get one of the main faces of the Democratic Party to have to resign, it will create the buzz that maybe she isn’t the only one that’s being untruthful, you know with all the tax cheats and appointees fresh from indictments.

But here’s the catch. While focusing on Pelosi, we are forgetting that the world is still turning and it’s not a pretty picture.

President Obama did his apologetic world tour and they are laughing at us. They see our financial system in ruins and as nations that existed way before us, they already know where we are headed. They know you can’t spend your way into a solid economic future.

Iran is continuing to work towards it’s nuclear ambitions. Isreal is flying run throughs of it’s attack routes towards Iran. North Korea desperately needs money, especially since walking away from six party talks, and are willing to sell in capabilities to anyone willing to pay.

Did I forget the Taliban 60 miles away from Pakistan and it’s arsenal of Nukes? Not to mention, India and Pakistans’ problems that could further escalate the sitiutation.

And we are talking about Nancy Pelosi. Maybe this is the problem with the Republican Party. We know the Democrats are going to self destruct under their own arrogance, pun fully intended. Instead of focusing on making them fail, we should be focused on making sure America doesn’t fail while they are in power.

We should take every opportunity to talk about Nancy Pelosi and turn it into a talk about the dangers going on in the world. Let the C.I.A. handle Pelosi, you know she placed the target on her own back, and let’s talk about keeping America safe in the up and coming struggles ahead.

We allowed our heads to be buried in the sand while we were worring about who Bill Clinton slept with and Al Queda was plotting and planning. We won the White House but we lost the Twin Towers, was it worth it? And any Republican that says it was, you are not a Republican I would associate myself with.

If we are going to be the party of National Defense and Fiscal Responsibility, then we need to make those issues first and foremost. They talk Nancy Pelosi, we talk Islamabad and the world’s refusal to help with the situation.

They say C.I.A., we say while you were apologizing to the world, who offered help with Afghanistan or getting Taliban out of Pakistan. The press is not asking the tough questions, we should be.

Republicans, refuse to talk about Pelosi. Talk about real issues. Let’s learn from our mistakes.

Are We A Christian Nation?

May 18th, 2009 | By

With all the media attention around President Obama speaking at Norte Dame yesterday, I got into a really deep conversation with a very wise woman.

The conversation started with us being on separate sides of the issue. I’m Pro-choice and she is Pro-life. But she’s the Democrat and I’m the Republican, so how did that happen? She broke it down to me like this, “We all have the right to believe what we choose to believe.”

Simple, right? Come on, you know nothing is ever simple with me.

So, we started talking about God and Faith. She brought up taking prayer out of school and not allowing teachers to discipline the students. She places all the blame of our failed educational institutions on those two principles.

I point out, “The extreme left of the Democratic Party are responsible for pushing to take God out of everything and they also rule the unions that allow concessions, like the teacher not being able to defend themselves, to come to fruition.”

Then she came back to her original point, “We all the right to choose what we choose to believe.”

I’m starting to get mad because this doesn’t make any sense to me. If I give you facts and figures, how can you dispute them? Especially if you agree with the initial concept? Especially if you don’t have any differing facts or figures to dispute them?

She repeated, “We have the right to choose what we believe.”

My respect level for this woman is so high, I let it go. I saw where this was headed and I was sure to lose my cool, sooner rather than later.

We stopped talking politics and got back on God. This is where her words really hit me? I said, “America is made up of 72% Christians, We are a Christian Nation.”

She said, “And of the 72%, I bet 50% don’t practice what they preach.”

That’s it. She hit the nail right on the head and got me thinking. That’s the problem. A lot of us choose to believe we are Christians but nothing in our actions prove the point. If God himself came to a random American and said “Let my will be done”, it’s a 50% chance he’d run across someone that questioned what they would get in return.

As a Southern Baptist Christian, I learned you didn’t have to be perfect. You didn’t have to get it right all the time, all you had to do was confess your Sins to God and continue on doing the best you can. And that’s what I believe, heart and soul.

But when I start to think about how I’ve been fighting God, even with absolute faith in his word, I realize this is not as black and white as I thought. Our society is starting to program us into believing what they would have us to believe and we have the right to choose if we want to believe it.

It doesn’t matter if it’s toxic to our future. It doesn’t matter if it contridicts everything we think we believe in. If we choose to drink the Kool-Aid we are bound to it’s results.

And that’s where we find ourselves, having to decide which side to follow. I’ve been under the impression that’s an easy choice to make. But the truth is, you’re cool until you start to talk about God.

Some of us walk around like we are truly Christians, but let the conversation turn to talking about Christianity and people will choose their politics over their God. It’s cooler to be Democrat, than it is to be a child of God.

Out of my conversation, I got these contradictions.

I don’t believe in Abortion, but if President Obama does, I’m sure he has his reasons.

I don’t believe prayer should be taken out of schools, but if Obama agrees, then it has to be the best thing.

I don’t believe in saying “Happy Holidays”, but if Obama said it, I would accept just like he was saying “Merry Christmas”.

What?

Are we a Christian nation? Or are we a nation that likes to believe we have Christian values? Because something has to give. I can understand believing in the fiscal policy of Obama, not really but you know what I’m saying, but I don’t understand how you sacrifice your self held beliefs to do it.

I was told, “you have to do you, first and foremost”, and I laughed. I’ve tried that. I did exactly what I wanted to do, without asking for God’s input. I bent all the rules and didn’t care. When someone came to talk to me about God, I didn’t want to hear it.

Been there, done that. All I got was an empty feeling in the center of my heart and a life that didn’t reflect what I really wanted. One of those, “Be careful what you wish for” moments.

Now when I talk about God, I can get, almost, everyone to agree. They will say God is at the center of their life, but question their politics and they’ll throw God under the bus for Obama.

Maybe Obama was right. Maybe we are no longer a Christian nation. Maybe we are becoming a Government fearing country more than a God fearing country.

The only thing that makes it worse, the Christians who really do believe are making concessions to let it happen. I guess they can choose to believe that’s the same thing as standing up for what they know in their hearts is right. Let’s hope God can see it from your point of view.

Eight Stages of Democracy: This Should Scare You

May 14th, 2009 | By

I was searching random things the other day and I ran across this little gem. I mentioned it on my radio show, WHWDRadio this Wednesday and I’ll share it with you today. Helpless plug, I know. LOL

These eight steps were written in 1787 by Professor Alexander Tyler. The United States was in the planning process of a young and fragile Democracy. So, this Professor took a look at the past and tried to map out the evolution of a Democracy. He determined a time line for these eight steps and an estimate of how long the process would take, 200 years.

The Eight Steps

From Bondage to Spiritual Faith

Do we forget how young of a nation we are? Europe had shaped and reshaped itself so many times before we were even put on a map.

England ruled the young America, not with whips and chains, but with taxes. The people weren’t allowed to build a strong nation because all the money they made was sent back to England. In the beginning, they were cool with that.

They were running from Europe so they would have the right to serve the God of their choosing and the manner in which they would serve that God. To them, at least in the beginning, the sacrifice was worth it. But that didn’t last long because Spiritual Faith is life altering.

From Spiritual Faith to Great Courage

Now, you have spiritual people who fully believe God has their best interest at heart and that translates into the building of courage.

Not in just this case, but in every case. Once you let God into your life, you begin to feel like you can move mountains. When you trust and have faith, fear seems to melt away.

From Courage to Liberty

This may seem funny but the courage you get from God makes you want to fight. O.K. maybe I didn’t say that right. The courage you get from God makes it impossible for you to allow someone to block your blessings. There, that’s better.

Our founding fathers knew we could not prosper with England at the head of our lives. We had to be a nation that put God first, then country, then family.

So NO! We will not bow to your Queen, we will not allow you to rob our country of it’s chance to be great, and no we will not allow you to dictate the lives of our children and grandchildren. We have God on our side and will fight for what we feel is right.

And that’s what we did. We fought and won our independence, our freedom, and our Liberty.

From Liberty to Abundance

And once you put your faith in God and walk through the fire without fear, you receive your blessing. And can’t we all agree, America has been blessed. We sprouted from a young nation into a world leader in record time.

Industry flourished, businesses developed, and the Economy became the envy and standard of the world. We fought amongst ourselves, defended our friends and allies, and built the strongest military force on the planet. We adjust and change our laws, while still adhering to the basic principles of our Constitution.

But all this comes with a price.

From Abundance to Complacency

Complacency- self-satisfaction, especially when accompanied by unawareness of actual dangers and deficiencies

I think this came around the time of the Great Depression. The New Deal. The belief started to creep in that we had the money to do anything. People were hurting and wanted immediate help, so they turned to the government and the government answered.

We’re temporarily going to give out Social Security benefits, just to get people by until things get better. We’re going to set up Medicaid and Medicare to help the underprivileged and elderly, who just can’t afford healthcare. These are just temporary steps to get us through these hard times.

When did they end Social Security? They didn’t. No politician is going to advocate taking services from the poor and the old. Plus, now government has a huge money supply from all the taxes they collect for Social Security. Great way to get money from you to borrow against for other Government projects.

As the government continued to grow, so did it’s hold on the mind of the American people.

From Complacency to Apathy

Apathy- lack of interest or concern; indifference

Now, we believe we can not fail. We pushed the Nazi’s back and crushed Russia, what could go wrong? The age of drugs spread through America and people stopped caring. It was better to protest than to put yourself into a position to run for office. It was better to make love than resist the up and coming war in our own backyard, the ever growing size of government.

Then, one morning we awoke and realized Government played a role in every aspect of our life. We pay taxes from the moment we get up in the morning to the moment we go to sleep at night. They can tell your teenage daughter it’s O.K. to get an abortion without telling a parent. They can even take away your land and cite “eminent domain”.

And we threw our hands up and said “F it”. It’s nothing we can do, the government runs everything. And we stopped listening, we stopped paying attention, and we stopped holding politicians accountable for their actions. We allowed ourselves to be scared of the Government instead of making the Government scared of us.

This is were it gets really scary.

From Apathy to Dependence

This is were we are right now. We were so indifferent and complacent, the first person to come along and promise us the pot at the end of the rainbow, we jumped. This once God loving nation is starting to worship the Government instead.

The same God that gave our forefather’s the strength and courage to fight is being contested at every turn. God teaches us to rely on him and then on ourselves and the Government doesn’t like that. The now enormous Government, needs to keep feeding itself and it needs your complacency to do it.

They need you to not care they are taking over private industry. They need you to look away while the let the printing press run. They need you to worry about Nancy Pelosi, while the Federal Reserve consolidates power. And there’s only one way that could happen, if you are dependent upon them.

If you can’t keep your house without the Government, then you don’t care how they do it. If you can’t eat without the Government, you don’t care where your food comes from. If you can’t see a doctor without the Government, you don’t care how much it will cost future generations.

We have become the nation of ME, Myself, and I and then anyone else that’s poor. They got us right were they want us, completely dependent on the Government to make the economy work, to solve our individual financial woes, and to just give us that tingly feeling.

Guess what the last step is?

From Dependence to back into Bondage

This is what I don’t understand about America today. There was a time in our history where people were given jobs, houses, food, and healthcare. It was called SLAVERY!

Master controlled everything about the lives of their slaves. They picked the winners and losers, the house nigga and the field nigga. They assualted those that would protest against their actions. They told their slaves when they could and couldn’t procreate. They picked which part of the pig the slaves got to eat.

Now, the government is starting to enlist the same tactics. They pick which people can get their homes refinanced or modified. They pick which companies are to big to fail and which one’s aren’t worth saving. They release terror list for Americans, AMERICANS, that would question the direction of their country. And with Obama’s full support of Planned Parenthood and his plans for national healthcare, population control won’t be far behind.

And we’re letting it happen. We are putting our heads in the sand and all our faith in a Man. A man that came from Chicago politics. A man that has an entire cabinet full of tax cheats and people who at one time or another have been under investigation. A man that down plays Christianity abroad and refuses to pray in front of a nation audience.

We’ve passed the 200 year mark but we’re still progressing straight back to Bondage. The Government never gives up power. All the power the current Government is stacking will now be the norm, how can it get any bigger? It will and they will want more money to make it happen.

But before they come after more money, they will come for our guns. Mark my words. The American people are different from those in the past. We will always believe in our right to protect ourselves.

When the social spending fails and the Government is knocked down a peg, the people at the top will tell us it’s in our best interest to let them handle it. The question will be, will we go back to God and develop the Great Courage to bring our country back from the brink or will hold out our arms and allow the government to attach the chains?

Blacks Against Obama Suffer Stockholm Syndrome: Jeanine Garofalo, This One’s For You

April 20th, 2009 | By

This is the problem with Hollywood. They have their heads so far in the clouds, they don’t know what regular everyday people are thinking. And they better wake up and realize they are the rich they are seeking to destroy.

Jeanine Garafalo, where do I start?

I used to love watching “The truth about cats and dogs”. I love Jeanine Garofalo in the movie. Before I became politically savvy, LOL, I probably would have listened to what she had to say like it was gospel. O.K., I was never that far gone.

On tax day, there were tea parties in 200 cities in all 50 states. People gathered together peacefully, without any incidence of violence, to protest higher taxes, reckless government spending, and a national debt that will cripple future generations. Full Disclosure: I supported the Tea Parties and am planning something big for the July 4th rally on Washington D.C.

Watch video…I refuse to put it on my page.

But Ms. Garofalo thinks I have Stockholm syndrome. See, I’ve been victimized by the far-right, white power movement to the point where I don’t know what the truth is. My limbianic brain, her words not mine, refuses to allow me to see the error of my ways.

All white people who care about taxes are racist and the black people are victims following the brainless.

Dear Ms. Garofalo

It’s nice when you have Olberman sitting across from you agreeing with everything you say. But why not come and sit with one of us brainless Americans and hear what we’ve got to say. We are not victims nor do we suffer some latent effects of racism. We are above that.

We are not thinking in terms of color. Let me take that back, we are thinking in terms of color, Green. Not the green you think off; new windows on failing schools, higher taxes on oil and coal before new sources of energy are introduced, or bowing to the Saudi King instead of drilling for oil and natural gas we have in our country. Not that Green.

But the Green we are spending on things we can’t afford. Does this make me stupid? I know that the Federal Reserve is printing money like there are no consequences, does this make me uninformed. I know that the jobs created by the government will also increase the amount of debt to every single tax payer in America. For this, I am compared to a monster with an inability do simple arithmetic.

See, this is the nice me. The calm and cool cucumber that likes civilized debate. Just simple questions asked for the sake of starting a conversation that will get race out of politics, much like you want God out of politics.

Now, the mean me, she isn’t so nice. She would say, if what you speak is the truth, how come every radio show you host fails. If the people who actually watch the news, watch Fox news, then what does that say about the people that follow you. Are they not the ill informed ones?

Your favorite stations, MSNC and CNN get crushed in the ratings by Fox at every turn. So where are your well informed followers getting their information if not from the news? The newspaper? Well, most liberal newspapers are going under, so that can’t be it. Talk Radio? We all know what happened to Air America.

(If you don’t, the liberal radio station went bankrupt no matter how many times the founders tried to save it. Hey, wait a minute. Wasn’t your show on that network, I guess not that many people were listening to you then either.)

Obama won the election and now he is president. Just as you had no problem cheering on Code Pink or fighting for Gay Rights in California, we will stand and fight for the future of our children. It’s the American thing to do, because we love our country and in four years we want to be able to still recognize it.

But I will give you this, a lot of blacks are suffering from Stockholm’s syndrome. They have been coddled in your interpretation of their victimization and now they believe the evil racist are out to stop them. Obama is president, where were the evil racist?

My entire tirade has been focused on the racial aspects of your interview, but let me let you in on a little secret. To show you how informed we really are, let me point a couple things out.

When all else fails, Blame Bush: Explain the ever expanding deficit. Bush started building this deficit.

When all else fails, Blame Race: Explain 3.4 Trillion dollar budget. You’re just hating on the black man.

When all else fails, Blame our Arrogance: Explain America’s reputation in the world. Our soldiers are bombing and killing innocent people in the middle of the night.

When all else fails, you look for someone else to blame. It can’t be some thing as simple as we can both agree to disagree. No, we have to be stupid because instead of looking for someone to blame, we seek actual answers to the questions. We don’t follow blind faith in a man.

Just a little hint. Maybe that’s why every show you do fails. People don’t want to be told that they are stupid for disagreeing or they are victims for forming their own opinions. So, instead of analyzing the world through your rose colored glasses, you should actually take the time to talk to the people who rail against.

President Obama: Not a Christian Abroad, Leaning on Rock at Home

April 15th, 2009 | By

Got a lot going on. My daughter is sick, just a little cold. My sister’s daughter has a undiagnosable stomach thing, preventing her from eating or drinking anything for the last week. And I am getting my annual dose of sinus pressure.

To much info, I know.

Between fixing chicken noodle soup and doing online research for local pediatric hospitals, I caught President Obama’s press conference yesterday. I was floored.

Abroad, we are not a Christian nation. The President of the United States of America, stood before muslims, and basically threw God under the bus. To appease those who would do us harm, he turned his back on the Millions of Christians in America and the God he claims to serve. With Class.

Then, to add insult to injury, he comes before the American people and tells us build our economy on a rock. Do you think we’re that stupid?

A man who believes in nothing will fall for anything. The man who wishes to be liked, will often find his back bent. Should I give another cliche or are you getting the point?

This is not a one time thing. During the election, Obama got in front of people in San Francisco and talked about people in Pennsylvania clinging to religion, then went back to Pennsylvania and talked about having faith and hope. Which is it? Or does the circumstances of who’s listening really matter that much?

To focused on God you say, well how about this?

I’m paraphrasing, “This economic situation started with the housing market. Over the last decade, the lending practices have changed. Instead of saving their pennies for a down payment for a house, many Americans went out a bought a house they couldn’t afford.”

With Class and a straight face.

O.K. Let me remind everybody of something we learned before Obama was even elected President. Obama was a lawyer for ACORN, who brought a suit against banks in Chicago for not offering loans to people who couldn’t afford them.

So, when surrounded by those who feel entitled, he offers entitlement. When surrounded by the media and the taxpaying Americans it’s fiscal responsibility. Again, we aren’t buying it.

Us Christian Americans, we do stand on a rock. We stand on God and we believe he is unwavering in his love for us. That’s why we give him glory and praise.

Obama waves, shakes, moves, bends, and doesn’t care what you think about it. Former President George Bush didn’t care what anyone thought, but you knew exactly what he thought. He wasn’t willing to change his opinion just because the press core was different. America was the greatest country in the world when he was talking to liberals, abroad, or his own grassroots. God was his rock. Maybe Obama should have inherited that.

Another Auto Bail-Out or One Final Kick Out: Detroit Pay Attention

    March 30th, 2009 | By

In the time of the Bail-Out, when is enough, enough. When will the government realize that our will is not being done? When will they realize we are not in a position to continue spending money we don’t have? And when will American Industry stand and do what it’s always done, adapt to any situation.

That has been our legacy. No matter the challenge or the obstacle, we find a way to turn lemons into lemonade. Along the way, we find out we can take a sour situation and turn it into refreshment when the days get hot.

The continuous bail-outs are stopping that from happening. Barack Obama keeps giving money when the company gives nothing in return. In other words, the tax payers are actually helping businesses stay prehistoric and unproductive. We know better than that.

Detroit has the ear of the Union, the government, and the people who are desperate to hold on to their jobs. How about listening to the ear of the master Lemonade maker. I’m always looking for the silver lining in the dark clouds.

O.k. You have a workforce of people good with mechanics, factories full of machines, a government that wants to pour Trillions of dollars into going green but no one in America makes the parts for the wind turbines or solar plates.

You know if you continue to take government money, they will eventually control every aspect of your business. We’ve learned from Bernie Madoff, sticking all your eggs in one basket isn’t very smart. And history has shown, even in prosperous times, Detroit still struggles when it’s main source of income is the Auto Industry.

Detroit, maybe it’s time you kick the Auto Industry out of your town. You can keep the, “We’re going to hold ourselves up by the bootstraps” Ford, but let GM and Chrysler find new homes. That’s if, they could stay afloat during the process.

We all point and say, you can’t do that. You would ruin the American Auto Industry forever. No, we’d create space for other designers and CEO’s to come up with a new product. They’d place plants in different cities and if the Auto Industry starts to hurt again in the future, the pain will be dispersed over a larger area. It wouldn’t collapse an entire U.S. City with it’s demise.

Well what about the people that depend on their job in one of those plants? I got news for you, your job is already in jeopardy. You have been living in a comfort zone created by the Union. I don’t blame you, but it’s time to get out of your comfort zone. Your comfort is killing your city. Maybe it’s not fair, but maybe it’s the right thing to do.

The people of Detroit have an obligation, just as every other American. We are charged with leaving our city, state, and country in a better position than our parents left to us. You were left with a flourishing Auto Industry, high wages, great benefits, and security. What will you leave your children with?

The stigma of the city that ate a Trillion dollars with no production. How the greedy people of Detroit allowed the Unions to kill the Auto Industry? O.K. I’m smart enough to know the Liberals that write the history books will give you a bail-out and put the blame elsewhere, but the truth is you hold the blame.

You vote for the politician with the easy fix, instead of the one willing to make the tough choices to better your city for the future. You vote in and stand by Kwame Kilpatrick, should I say any more?

Maybe I’m taking this a step to far, but I’m in that kind of mood today. Let’s make a politically incorrect comparison.

Detroit is in the middle of a storm. They can choose to re-act like the people in New Orleans and sit and wait for the government to save them, or the can re-act like the people in Fargo and decide to save themselves. Let’s just say, Fargo is going to be hit by another storm today on top of the flooding they have already endured and there are no cases of people being trapped on their roofs or patients in hospitals being taken of life support because some random person deems them not worth saving.

It’s a choice. People of Detroit pay attention.

P.S. I forgot to mention another huge benefit of kicking out the Auto Industry, you’d find out how much the Unions really care about people. I’m willing to bet they would disappear from Detroit the moment GM and Chrysler left and wouldn’t return until the could rape your next source of industry.

Will you fall for it again?

Dear Government, Get Out Of Our Way and We’ll Show You How To Fix the Economy

    March 20th, 2009 | By

Dear President Barack Obama, Congress, or Who Ever Will Listen:

We stand at a pivotal time in history. We must make decisions now that will effect the future of this country. And I understand they are tough decisions to make.

I am but one American citizen, but I am scared. I am scared my daughter will not have the opportunity to blow the same chances I blew. That may sound funny, but I know she is bound to make mistakes. My hope is that I can teach her to take responsibility for those mistakes. Not with just an “I’m sorry”, but bold actions that will alleviate some of the affects of her actions. I hope I can teach her to learn from her mistakes.

The civility in my tone is only a mask to hide the rage I feel. Our government officials are supposed to be the brightest amongst us, but we still expect you to make mistakes. We understand you are only men and women.

Yet, we demand you learn from them.

We have learned from our mistakes. Most American people now know to run from an adjustable rate and are sure to fully read any contract before signing. Shouldn’t you have learned that lesson before signing the contract to grant bonuses to AIG executives?

The American people have started to wake up and we understand we have played a role in hurting our economy. The difference is, when we realize it, we stand up and do the right thing.

    Examples

    1. So All May Eat Cafe- Read full story. Take all the prices off the menu and let people play what they can afford to pay. Those who can pay more, will pay more. Those who can’t, still get to eat.
    2. The Layoff Proof Lease- Read full story. Need a place to live but scared to take on a commitment in this shaky economy? Rent from us and if you lose your job, we’ll give you two month free rent. No strings attached.
    3. $2 Economic Stimulus- Read full story. Stimulate your own community by giving a little extra to your employees. Then encourage them to donate to some one in need, then spend the rest in local businesses.
    4. Some where in a basement, there is a boy inventing a new wave of micro-computers because his father lost his job and is now able, if only until his next employment opportunity, to share his wisdom of electronics.
    5. Somewhere in America, there is a woman that is volunteering at an AIDS shelter that will find her passion in medicine and treatment of the disease.
    6. Somewhere in America, there is a group of investors pooling their money together to make a Bank that makes good loans, to good people, at good rates, just because it’s the right thing to do.
    7. Families that still have jobs are now inviting their friends and neighbors that are unemployed over for dinner and finding inexpensive ways to share great times.
    8. And then there’s people like me. Who blew every chance and made every mistake and now wants to be a part of the solution. There are entrepreneurs with enough faith in themselves and this country to start a business from the ground up and make it a success.

All we need from you is to get out the way. Let us show you how it’s done. If you are not big enough to admit the first bail-out was a mistake, Fine. If you are not big enough to admit the stimulus bill was a mistake, Fine. But don’t continue to cover one mistake by creating another.

The government did not build this country. The people built this country, let us fix it. We know if won’t be easy, but you don’t have to keep making it more and more impossible. Stop speading money and we’ll show you how to solve our nations’ woes as we have always done. Shoulder to shoulder, heart to heart, with nothing but love for this country willing us forward.

Money means nothing to someone with passion in their hearts. We do it because we want to, because we know it’s the right thing to do. Do the right thing. Stop spending money we don’t have.

A very, very, very concerned citizen

If I Were Edward Liddy I’d Save AIG: Congress Try Me

    March 19th, 2009 | By

When the story broke about AIG giving $140 Million in bonuses to the same employees that wrecked the company, I was furious. I wanted to roast every single person that received a dime of that money.

But the cool thing about me, I always take a moment to think out any situation. So, I waited until Liddy made his way in front of Congress to make a final judgement.

PLEASE THINK ABOUT THIS> Congress is trying to tell Liddy give back the $140 Million or don’t even think about getting the next $30 Billion. And what about the 3.7 Trillion planned for next years budget? This is what they do. Get you looking in one direction, while they are doing some thing else in the other direction. Magicians.

Let’s pretend for just one moment I was Edward Liddy and Barney Frank had the nerve to imply insult towards me or Chris Dodd tried to duck his role in this debacle. Oh! The Joy……..

Barney Frank: How dare you come before Congress after giving away $140 Billion of taxpayer money in the form of bonuses? You should be ashamed.

Me as Liddy: Why is that Senator Frank, orchestrator of the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac forced lending principles that caused businesses like AIG the ability to make money off false derivatives.

BF: We are not talking about Fannie or Freddie, we are talking about your incompetence as a C.E.O.

MasL: Dear Senator Frank, you and the rest of Congress asked me to take this job. If I am incompetent, what does that make you?

BF: I see you have come here with a chip on your shoulder.

MasL: Why would that be? Could it be, I came out of retirement to make $1 a year saving a company You, the former administration, the current administration, and every member of Congress said was to big to fail. The current economic crisis in this country is to big to fail. Should you get paid $1 to serve the American people like I’m doing?

BF: How dare you insult this panel by talking about how you are looking out for the American Taxpayer?

MasL: How dare you take insult, without a single grain of remorse. Barack Obama, you, and the rest of Congress pushed this Bail Out bill through without even reading it. This “panel” did not check the contracts in place before giving away the money. Where is the admission on guilt and remorse from you that sit in judgment of me.

BF: Mr. Liddy, you are completely out of line.

MasL: Oh, I’m just getting started. What are you going to do Mr. Frank? Fire me. Who are you going to get to work for $1 a year to deal with people like you. It only shows why those who are still employed at AIG and got the bonuses, deserve them.

I was not a part of AIG when now Secretary Geitner was creating this bail out. Why is he not on Capital Hill testifying to how these bonuses were allowed to slip through the cracks?

And now, you want me to go back to American Taxpayers, because you do remember that most of the employees that recieved a bonus are American Taxpayers who are now going to put that money back into the economy, and tell them the contracts Congress and AIG signed are wrong and they have to give back the money.

Instead of taking your place of guilt, you want to start a mob. A mob that threathens killing AIG executives and their families. And you tell me all I have to do is give the money back and the threats stop. Isn’t that extortion? Isn’t that a felony? How dare you?

    BF: Mr. Liddy..

MasL: Please take no offense to this Senator Frank but the American People have no confidence in You and Congress. I will not allow you to place all the blame on me. Not because I am not big enough to handle it, but because I want AIG to flourish again.

No one will invest in a company where the whims of Washington rule the C.E.O.’s decisions. You have given AIG Billions of dollars in taxpayer money and it is my job to recoop that money so my grandkids don’t have to pay it back in higher taxes later. That’s why I’m here, not to take ridicule and judgement from you.

If you continue this tirade to deflect attention from the real economic problems and focus squarely on these bonuses, while further hurting the image of A.I.G.; you are in fact guaranteeing AIG will fail. And I will not allow it.

Thank you for this time to speak. I have real business to get done. Shouldn’t you be reading the 3.7 trillion dollar budget proposal by Barack Obama. Or do you plan to sign that one into law before reading it also? Who is going to be your next scapegoat since you can’t use me?

    ——————————————————————————-

After you heard that, everyone would be in rush to invest in AIG, as long as Liddy was running it. They would have confidence and that’s what missing in the market today. Real true confidence in the people in the positions of power.

Card Check, Union, and Government: Should Workers Really Want More Money?

    March 15th, 2009 | By

The title would suggest that I have lost my mind and maybe I have. Everybody wants to make more money, the question is, “Is the union the best way to accomplish this?”

Congress is currently considering re-instating Card Check. To become unionized, 50% of workers have to sign a card saying they want to start a union, and they get a union. Under the current process, the business gets to make it’s case to the workers and the vote is held in secret.

Card Check passing through Congress currently, has another little loop hole tucked in. If the business and the workers can’t come to a resolution, a Washington bureaucrat, with no knowledge of the company in question, will be able to set salary for workers.

Supporters of Card Check say, “How can it be a bad thing to build up the middle class?” If workers make more money, they have more money to spend. They spend more money, our economy booms. Couple that with government healthcare and new green technology, and our country will be set to go into the next century.

Now, I’m self-educated but pretty sharp, so let’s work through this.

First thought, a business’s main purpose is to make money. I know in the current environment, it’s to fail and get a government bail-out, but majority of business’s start with the goal of being successful.

Let’s create a company to play with. How about Liberals Steal Futures Inc. or LSF Inc.

So, LSF Inc. is a national company that produces food products, cleaning products, and the major components of wind power turbines. Great company to be invested in. They are diversified in their holdings, so no one glitch in the market would affect them that much.

50% of their people sign cards requesting the company become unionized.

The C.E.O., unaware a union sign-up was even in progress, was in the final stages of opening his new green construction company. He had poured a majority of LSF Inc.’s recent profits into expanding the company. The expansion would create thousands of new jobs and change the face of the construction business.

Card Check is passed and a union is started before the C.E.O. can even announce the expansion. What should be a wonderful time for the company becomes a fight with the union. Higher wages, more sick days, and health care for part time employees.

LSF Inc. drops in the stock market and a lot of investors lose money. Instead of announcing adding new jobs, they announce they are cutting jobs.

In the current climate, the average American not affected directly by the falling stock price or loss of jobs, doesn’t care about the strain put on the business. They got the money, they should pay their employee’s more.

But here comes the dirty little secret. The C.E.O. is not stupid. He knows that he still needs to turn a profit, so what does he do? He raises the price on your bread, eggs, and milk. The price rises 20% on your dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, and body soap. The wind power they want us to depend on, now goes even higher in price because LSF Inc. is the only company that makes the turbines.

It’s fine if they want to raise the price, I’ll just buy another brand. Just try. All the other American brands went up because they too have become unionized. All that’s left is foreign products three times cheaper than those made in America because they don’t have to deal with such issues.

“You left one important part out of the equation, if the government is paying for health care, the prices won’t be that high for businesses.”

Correct. But where does the government get it’s money? From you. So they will give you a pay raise, put you in a higher tax bracket and charge you more in taxes.

What did you really gain? You pay more in taxes, it cost you more to provide for your family, and jobs are disappearing because foreign companies can provide cheaper products.

I’ll even go one step further for you. What would happen if wind was no longer a worthy source of power? The workers get mad because of lay-offs or benefit cuts and they strike. The Union and LSF Inc. can’t come to a conclusion so they have to meet with a government mediator.

The government mediator decides since government no longer believes wind power is viable, they think the people’s wages working in that division should shrink substantially. So a year ago you were making $20 an hour and now the government thinks your job is worth $11 an hour.

And there is nothing you or the Union can do, because the government has the final say.

This weekend, I watched bits and pieces of Norma Rae, Sally Fields portrayal of a textile worker inspired to start a union at her company. Very moving story but New Jack City was on another channel. As I flipped back and forth between movies, I got an interesting idea. Be on the Look Out for a very funny story.
