Couple Quick Notes: Rush for Education and A Silent Conservative

March 11th, 2009 | By

I’ve been spending a lot of time trying to figure out political manuevers. The one thing I’ve learned this year, nothing in politics is as it seems. A politicians main goal is to tell you what you want to hear, without speaking the things you don’t. It’s that simple.

Rush for Education

This morning I was attempting to read between the lines on a two stories in particular. First, Obama’s new plan to improve education from the cradle to college. Sounds good right. I mean who could argue that most inner city schools need improvement.

But what does he not want us to hear?

He wants government to have a heavy hand in creating a suitable school system. Could it have something to do with the Teacher’s Union that prevents firing of bad teachers? Or is it something less politically motivated, like an actual belief that children need to be educated.

Maybe, just maybe, it’s completely political. I watch Fox News. They have a segment on the liberal bias in public school textbooks. It’s so funny how liberals create our school books and still manage to leave us out. I digress.

Anyways, they point out a lot of commentary past off as actual history. Why does this matter? School Vouchers. Most private schools are religious based. They teach all things are possible through a higher power.

The liberals want you to believe all things are possible through them. They can’t have inner city kids being sent to schools that teach self sufficiency, work-based opportunities, or the actual Socialism agenda. This would hurt the grasp they have on the inner city areas.

So instead they throw money at the problem, like having a computer in a school is going to help the kid that has no desire to learn to read. But that fits their agenda well. See, if they throw all this money at the public school system and it still fails to improve, it will not be the Democrats fault.

It will still be the Republicans fault because the inner city kids still live in the inner city. The problem itself never disappears, only a new strategy on “how to blame” presents itself. And through all these political games, our schools continue to deteriorate, even if they are now completely green.

If you say I’m reading to much into this, Why are the Obama girls in private school?

A Silent Conservative

A hero becomes selfish when he expects praise for his deeds. It’s one of the first lessons you learn as a child. Give because you want to, not because you want something in return.

It’s a proven fact Conservatives give more to charities than Democrats. We believe God helped us succeed and it’s our duty to give back to those around us. What makes a conservative so great is his/her refusal to seek a pat on the back for their deeds.

Former President George W. Bush did more for the people of Africa than any other U.S. President in history. His financial contributions to the AIDS epidemic has helped saved millions of lives. When Kanye West came out and said George Bush doesn’t like black people, Bush didn’t respond by pointing out all the aid he’s sent to the struggling continent.

Bill O’Reily donates all his income, outside of his television show, to charity. He mentions this to let the public know buying a “don’t be a pinhead” bumper sticker is contributing to a worthy cause, both his message and a community. Now, if he listed every charity he contributed to and how much, I’d think he was waiting for his pat on the back.

There is some in fighting amongst Republicans about how to win inner city communities. The Rush Limbaugh’s say don’t target one group, let’s stay on message and we’ll win back the White House. Then you have the new voices in the Republican Party that say, let’s reach out to the community with social based programs, but we’ve got to make sure they are publicized correctly.

I know I’m over simplifying but for the sake of time, just roll with it. There is a girl from the inner city that found dance to be her escape. She is now in the $250,000 range and would love to open a dance school in her old neighborhood. One problem, the new tax hikes are going to prohibit her from opening her studio.

This maybe a little cynical, but I leave in the real world. Which message is more important? A puff piece about a girls dream to open a dance studio or a hard hitting news story about how the tax hikes are going to actually hurt community building?

The puff piece would actually do more harm than good. See, a silent conservative will hear this story and help the woman open her studio. The follow-up story wouldn’t mention the name of the person who donated the money and the silent conservative would be happy. That would be the end.

Make it about policy and you got a whole other ball game. This woman worked hard so she could open a dance studio in her community, not to pay for pig odor research. The government cut after-school activities, financially crippled this woman from starting a studio, and decided the best way to help her community was to build a Waterpark 1,000 miles away.

You go from targeting one group of people of a particular community, to affecting numerous groups of people in a myriad of communities. All with different stories behind the main premise, tax hikes hurt individuals who want to do good in their communities.

A rich Republican that goes to the ghetto to help, then leaves pounding his chest is what the street would call a mark. They are going to take what ever they can get from you and move on. Tell them they loss the local basketball courts to pay for the new court across town and you get a totally different response.

The streets are not stupid and Republicans should stop treating them as such. That’s the Democrats job.

We Are A Nation Of Cowards And Are Not Ashamed

February 26th, 2009 | By

The First Black Attorney General Eric Holder stood in front of reporters and called America, “a nation of cowards” when it comes to talking about race.

Rarely do I agree any Democrat but I’m half-way there on this one. I’d make a few changes though. He could’ve said, “We are a nation of cowards when it comes to being broke.” I’d agree. Or he should have said, “We are a nation of cowards hiding behind victimization,” when it comes to race.

Let’s deal with one at a time

Race

I think about the Stars that grace the Billboard charts, Magazines, and television, and we are represented. Not always in the best light, will the real hip-hop please stand up, but we are there. Now, we even have a black face in the White House.

All that means nothing. We can’t have a civilized conversation amongst ourselves without turning it into something ugly. How can we have the conversation on a National level?

When I bring up “black issues”, I’m assaulted because I don’t place blame elsewhere. Even if I give every concession that “the white man” is the cause and root of all our problems, I can never get passed that. Yes, that evil man did it, but what do we do next.

“We make them pay.”

O.K. while we are waiting on them to pay, because it’ll never happen, what do we do in the mean time.

“We make sure everyone knows that they are responsible.”

O.K. but what do we do to better ourselves in the mean time. Why is our entire existence based on what “they” do or don’t do. Don’t we get to make some choices instead of waiting on “them”?

As individuals, most of us have made a choice. We work, raise our families, and handle the stress of it all with pain grimaced through a smile. Life isn’t always fair, but we keep going. But as a collective, we have stopped moving forward. We are patiently waiting for some invisible “white person” to say they are sorry and some how “pouf” away our problems.

Problems we have created waiting. And that’s the problem. We allowed criminals to run our streets with no accountability. We don’t let snitches in and out of our communities. If we stuck together with the same strength towards gangs and dealers, we could police our own streets.

Isn’t that what we crave. To be the big man on the block. How come the big man never wants to create jobs with health care and retirement? And if these are the things missing in our communities, why don’t we give acceptance to the richer people who do?

Why would I give praise to a “white person”? Who says they are white. Russell Simmons, Oprah, Blah Blah Blah I could go on and on, but it would be fruitless. Why?

Because they are surrounded by people afraid to call them on it. A black rapper come out publicly for McCain, career suicide. Yet, AFTER the election Scarface came out and said he voted for McCain, nice and quiet like. Those who disagree with Obama, fear the backlash of a collective of black people stuck and stagnate. The collective is the mob and no one wants to be on the wrong side.

Then you have white people without a racist bone in their body to afraid to stand up. A black politicain can come out and race bait at his choosing but a white politician better watch his words.

We are such a Nation of Cowards

If you think race was bad, Income level is even worse

All my people who have ever been broke and made it out, our time is coming. We all want to look back and remember how good or bad our childhood was. If you were broke, whether it was good or bad, you learned a few tricks of the trade.

You know how to turn one chicken into three dinners and that experience is invaluable. The cowardice of which I speak won’t come from us. It will come from those who had everything handed to them on a silver tray, those that got it the easy way and don’t know how to maintain it, and those who wanted to take short cuts to get to their destination faster.

They will be the ones finding it hard to get assistance because they stomped on so many people along the way. They will waste time worrying about what they lost and not what they still have. They are the one’s clamouring to spend now because they don’t want to suffer.

They are cowards. Being broke isn’t fun, but it is manageable. It takes strength to realize what is necessary and what is not. If I don’t want my daughter to worry about college, I can’t buy a new dress now. How trifling would I be if I bought a new dress in hopes of meeting a rich man to pay for college for her?

Not only trifling, I would be a coward. And through all this, my daughter would be watching. How could I explain?

They say this financial crisis will change the face of Governments all over the world. Once we were the people willing to sacrifice ourselves for our country. Now we will sacrifice our country for ourselves. Is that not the very definition of Coward.

Gold, Chavez, Obama, Socialism, & The Pulse of America: I’m Just Saying

February 21st, 2009 | By

I got a bit of a shock yesterday. I met a man that blew my mind. Let me paint a picture for you.

6’3, about 200 chiseled lbs., mouth lined with gold teeth, black hat, black coat, black pants, black Timberlands, and even black gloves on his hands. I tried to imagine the number of tattoos under his clothing but lost track in my own imagination.

After introductions, the first word out of his mouth, Barack Obama. If I wrote every time I talked to a black person about why I didn’t vote for Obama, that’s all that would be on this blog. So you know some thing surreal happened.

He says, “It’s like the dumb following the blind.”

I shut up and let the man speak. I had my own pre-concieved notion and since I obviously was wrong, I owed him a certain amount of respect.

He told me how his grandmother owned three acres of land. She was in a retirement home now, so no one farms on the land any more. He said the Government had came and tried to buy the land from his family. Him and his siblings said no and now get harassed by cops and officials who try to find fault on the property.

The more he talked, the more I started to get the notion he was a conspiracy theorist. He questioned why Obama’s new limo is called “the beast”. (Like mark of the Beast) He also brought up some things about the number 13. He was starting to lose my attention when he said some thing else I wasn’t expecting.

He said, “At least Chavez was smart enough to start Socialism when his country had stockpiles of money. Our government is so backwards, they want to start giving away stuff when the coffers are already dry.”

He said, ” I want to give my daughter the world, I feel she deserves it, but if I rob, steal, or kill to get it, all I do is devalue her worth, because I devalue mine.”

Knowledge nuggets dropped at my feet.

While I was still trying to wrap my head around his previous thought, he had moved on. Now he was talking about the value of Gold. He said the smartest thing any of us could do was buy as much Gold, Silver, Platinum, or any other precious metal and stockpile it.

He questioned the numerous commercials you see on T.V., Gold for Cash. He pointed out, “They want you to send in gold, that will only grow in value, for the American Dollar that loses value every day.”

The thought wasn’t shocking, yet again the source was.

Then came the ranting and raving when the subject was brought back to his grandmother’s property. He threatened the day the government would tell him and his family they had to share their land because they owned to much. “That would be the day America died and revolution would begin.”

Normally, I would diffuse the situation. Who am I kidding? I would light a rocket under it and send it to cosmic level but in that moment, I understood.

This is the pulse of America right now. A lot of people gave their trust to Obama and are expecting solutions because he was praised as the Messiah, the Savior of all things. Attitudes change when kids are crying because they are hungry or families are stripped of land.

We are a country not afraid to protest. It’s one of the pillars of our foundation. When our words are ignored by those tho think they know better than us, we will not take it lightly. When they impose huge taxes on us while stripping us of our right to bare arms, we will not turn a blind eye. If political censorship or even the hint of such a concept, comes from the White House, I fear for my country.

This goes beyond any label you could put on yourself. Democrats, Republicans, Independents and everything in between will not allow our country to fall without a fight. I’m just saying.

To Kill An American

February 10th, 2009 | By

Written by an Australian Dentist

You probably missed this in the rush of news, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper, an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American.

So an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let everyone know what an American is . So they would know when they found one. (Good one, mate!!!!)

‘An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish , Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan.

An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as native Americans.

An American is Christian , or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan . The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses.

An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.

An American lives in the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence , which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness.

An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in return. When Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country!

As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan .

The national symbol of America , The Statue of Liberty , welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America.

Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11 , 2001 earning a better life for their families. It’s been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists.

So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo , and Stalin , and Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself.

Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.

Guilt, Reparations, And Stimulus: Democrats Paying For Past

January 30th, 2009 | By

Let’s get down to business. Check out Now, It’s Our Turn to fully understand my feelings about reparations.

But was I wrong?

Of course, I’m going to continue to believe we have to live up the rich history left to us, but the more I found out about our past, the more I believe reparations are in order.

For far to long, our rights have been abused. We were turned away from the polls. We were not allowed to own property. Hell, we were slaves. It’s definitely time for some payback. But who should we look to for these reparations or are they already being handed to us?

We can all agree, there has to be two sides to a fight. Each side has an objective and a desire to stop the other side from succeeding. Basic, right?

In the Civil War, who’s side were you on?

The south? Do you understand their need to keep their working population? Does it not bother you they used whips and chains to keep their fellow men subservient? Do you believe the country would’ve been better off if we had broken into two separate nations?

The North? Are you glad your nation was willing to tear itself apart to do what was right? Are you forever grateful Abraham Lincoln signed the emancipation proclamation? Do I have to even ask any more questions here?

I could do my typical thing and say, “Ah Hah, got you. You were a Republican in the Civil War up to The Civil Right’s Act, even if you are a Democrat now.” And it would be true, funny, and ironic all wrapped up into a little smile you can’t see through the Internet.

But that would get us no closer to an absolute truth. To do that, it’s always better to look at human behavior.

Scenerio

You are hanging out with two of your friends. Your money comes up missing but you don’t know which one took it. You wait a couple weeks and bring the subject back up. Now, there are two different reactions in your friends.

Both deny, but one can’t help put tip his hand. It’s not in just his words, it comes in his actions as well. See the friend who didn’t steal the money, forgets about the accusation and moves on.

The guilty usually has one of two reactions. The Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton approach; they turn the spotlight else where or complain about how bad a time they are having. Or the Democrat approach; they begin to be nice and accomadating to try to relieve themselves of guilt.

It’s no mistake I used the examples above. Just a beautiful transition to my next point.

The validity of some Liberal arguments can’t be denied but their reactions to those arguments have to be examined as well.

It’s often said the Republicans ignore problems in the black community. I think they have a clean conscience in race affairs. Like I said, you were rooting for the Republicans from the Civil War until a bullet killed Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. They waged war so we could vote and run for office and they won.

So who’s fault is it we elect corrupt or ineffective politicians? I’m not going to get off subject.

Now, look at the Liberal Two Prong Approach. On one hand, you have Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton. Never mind what we’re doing with the opportunities presented to us, let’s just look at what’s been done to us. Backwards thinking prolonging our romantic embrace with racism.

On the other hand, you have the rest of the Democrats. Oh, let us take care of you. Your life has been so hard. Now, I’m the type to question motives. So, my first reaction is why do you feel it’s your job to take care of me. A guilty conscience?

Maybe Democrats feel bad they took the wrong side in the Civil War all the way up to Dr. King’s march on Washington. Maybe the hypocrisy of the first black President coming from the party that fought tooth and nail to prevent such a thing from happening is lost on them. Or maybe we like the attention, no matter why it’s being rendered.

Either way, Democrats have a lot of making up to do. How do they start? Time for reparations.

Here comes the slippery slope. They can’t call it reparations. Why? They would have to admit their faults. They would have to explain why a former Grand Master of the Klu Klux Klan is still occupying a Democratic Senate Seat or why they were not surprised John Murtha called residents of his own district racist. They would have to explain why History Books leave out the fact Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican.

So, a guilty conscience devises a Trillion Dollar spend fest in the name of Stimulus to start the reparations process. We robbed you of rights in the past, let us make it up to you by fixing the schools we once burned down. We’ll repave the roads marked by your steps and blood. We were right about you not being able to take care of yourselves, we just dealt with it wrong.

You remain ignorant and unskilled and we will take care of you. Blame diverted. And since you love us, our conscience is soothed. That’s just the first step. Barack Obama isn’t finished paying for his party’s past sins. The future will hold judges that legislate from the bench due to circumstance or public sentiment instead of the Law. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.

Right now, I must question the true value of our history. Is this a grass is always greener moment? While we are rushing to solve monumental problems quickly, are we leaving behind more than we are gaining? Is it more important we have a black President or we have proud black patriarchs to past down family tradition and values?

Why do you have to choose? It would be nice if you didn’t, but some where there is a father trying to teach his son to be responsible. The son, who looks up to Obama, sees him writing a check he knows we can’t afford, with no hesitation.

I’m one to encourage business. So if that son wants to take a chance and invest in himself, I’m all for it. As long as it’s done responsibly. He can’t say, I’m going to buy a fly car, some fly clothes, hang out at the club and become a rapper. Like this stimulus package, that is a rushed plan doomed to fail.

The best idea would be to save and plan for success, even if it means you have to stay in your parents basement a little while longer.

How much are we willing to give to this quick fix? We know black communities didn’t change when Obama took office and I can promise most won’t find a high paying secure job the day after this stimulus is signed. Are we going to let Democrats alleviate their guilt of the past by mortgaging our children’s hope of the future?

I always end up with more questions than answers.

Abortion: A Woman’s Right or A Stepping Stone Towards Socialism

January 27th, 2009 | By

I usually start off with a personal story. You know a little look back on my existence to validate my thinking but today I find it hard. See, I was a little prude as a teenager. I thought the worst thing that could happen to me involved having a child. All my friends had kids, even my little sister, and I saw their struggles.

Abortion. I have always believed that a woman has a right to choose. I know if I had gotten pregnant as a teenager, I probably wouldn’t have kept the child. Looking back, I probably wouldn’t have told my mother because she would have made me keep it. It’s all speculation now. Could I really have done it? I guess we’ll never know.

But abortions as stimulus I find perplexing. Until I took a little time to think about it.

Former President George W Bush started us down the path to socialism. (O.K. real fast let me say this. Isn’t it funny how as soon as you bring up Socialism, the Democrats don’t refute it, they only call out Bush as the starting point. Didn’t we all learn as kids, just because one person does something doesn’t mean you have to follow suit. I’m just saying.)

And President Obama is picking up right where he left off. But what does abortion have to do with Socialism? I’m glad you asked.

See, a Socialist society depends on the rich taking care of the poor. What happens when the number of poor people outweigh the pocketbooks of the rich? The society fails. People in government are not stupid. They might believe in Socialism but they know it has to be managed. Meaning they have to be able to control the number of new births, especially in the poorer communities.

The rich are easily controlled when it comes to childbirth. Most rich people got that way because they understand how to manage their money. They know they won’t stay rich having 8 kids in a Socialist society. With excessive tax rates and lack of any real tax relief, most will forgo having more than one or two kids.

But the poor people. That’s a whole different story. They have struggled their whole lives and the added burden of multiple children doesn’t seem to slow them down. You can’t preach self responsibility because the people will start to realize they don’t need the government, the government needs them. So, instead make it cool and easy to get an abortion.

But first they have to convince you that it is not only a Constitutionally provided right but that it also should have no stigma placed upon it.

Now, I’m going to stand up for my sista’s of every race and creed on this one. No one has the right to judge you. If you made the decision that you thought was best for you, I applaud. Taking care of a child is a serious job and if you’re not ready for it, no one should have the ability to force it upon you.

Now, having said that. You don’t have the right to then turn around and place the guilt you feel at the feet of other Americans. Just because it was the right choice for you, doesn’t make it the right choice for every other person. You can’t demand respect for your choices if you don’t give that same respect to choices made by others. Simple. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Now, having said that. Both sides of this issues need to put a hold on proving they are right and look at the effects this could have on our communities. Everybody can agree that Communism is not the best form of government. The only difference between Communism and Socialism is religion.

China has no problem convincing it’s people that abortion is O.k. Hell, they demand it. They even allow for the killing or mass deportation of children to control it’s population. They don’t have a God to answer to, only a government. Is that what we want for America?

I know, I’m taking it too far. I’m trying to turn basic contraception into a fight for our nation’s identity. Or am I the only one willing to point it out. By our own admission, we are at the low end of the totem pole. So who are the real targets of these free abortions?

That’s where Nancy Pelosi comes in. In her press conference, she stated the true intent of adding government funding for abortions to the stimulus bill. Abortions will cut the cost of entitlements at the state level, therefore cutting the federal governments matching of such entitlements. Basically, it’s not about a woman’s right to choose, it’s about the government starting to control how many kids come from which neighborhoods.

Am I taking it too far again, or am I once again the only person that will say it. We rail because every corner in our neighborhoods have a liquor store. What will we say when everyone of our neighborhoods has free abortion day? Or instead of offering food stamps and public housing, they mandate you already have to many kids to be cared for under our current system, so you have to terminate your pregnancy to continue to get benefits.

They wouldn’t do that. Yeah, right. Just look how the system is currently set up. If you get a job, they immediately terminate your benefits. This is the price you pay for allowing government to make decisions that should be left up to the men and women who take care of their children.

Every woman should have the right to choose, but don’t fight so hard for that right that you unintentionally give it up. At 17, you didn’t want a child. But at 25, you no longer have the right to decide because the population of your town has already met the maximum allowed by the state. So now, you are forced into abortion.

Nothing comes for free. Even the Democrats know there is a price to pay for socialism. They just don’t tell you in the future it might include your right to choose. Not whether you want to terminate a child but whether you have the right to keep it.

A New Trillion Dollar Stimulus: Tell Your Child The American Dream is Dead

January 12th, 2009 | By

Here we go again. Another Trillion Dollar Plan to help our economy. Yes. More money, more money. Wait. Aren’t we in debt up to our ears right now. Where are we going to get this money? Who is going to pay it back? I’m not a finance major but I do run a household. I know you don’t get out of debt by creating more debt.

So what will the American People receive from this plan? Let’s take a look.

Infrastructure Repair

I listed this first because it is the only part that makes any sense. With bridges collapsing and levees breaking, we do need to invest in our infrastructure. I hate driving over large bridges, that’s before the threat that it could fall from beneath my car.

But is this something that the government should fix? Yes. Local Government. Why? Because local governments can contract to local businesses, therefore helping the local economy. Taxpayer money goes back to the people who payed in the first place. Plus, more local small business job creation.

That can’t happen.

Only the Government Can Fix This Problem

I think this is one of those, ‘If you say it enough times, it’ll come true’ statements. What does the government actually ever fix? This is what kills me about those who follow President Barack Obama so blindly.

He is nothing more than a politician. Not taking away from any of his achievements or his eloquence, he is still a politician. The lower segment of our population has been complaining about the same problems for decades. It’s hard for a poor man to make it in this world.

So show me a situation where the government made it happen. So me one situation where the government took a poor man and made him into a success. It doesn’t happen. Each person makes a decision on how they want to live their lives. The government may step in and assist but the main burden lays with the person developing the wealth.

We, the American People, develop the wealth of this country. Not the government. If anyone is going to fix this problem, it won’t be someone who has spent their adult lives learning how to phrase a statement properly so you won’t know their true intent.

It will come on the back of hard working Americans, the brains of creative Americans, and the fearlessness and belief of all Americans in the American Dream.

What American Dream?

I’m glad you asked. The ones we are taking away from our children to give us temporary relief right now. See, I was taught that each generation should try and leave this country in a better position than the generation before it. We are failing miserably.

With the election of our first African American President, we will leave the next generation with more acceptance of other races and hopefully religions. But will the large debt we are incurring out shadow this moment when the history books are written?

Will this moment of reverence be nothing more than an asterisk next to the moment the free market died in America? Yes.

During the election, the only thing people thought about was the economy, their money. Why do you think anything will be different in the future? Our children are going to want to create wealth for themselves. Instead, they will be paying higher taxes trying to pay back the Trillions we are spending right now. We are creating the debt that will rob our children of the American Dream. Do you understand? Your child will suffer your mistakes.

No. They will benefit because I am able to work right now.

Fight for a Temporary Job

New Jersey is the highest taxed state in America. Over the last five years, 60% of all job creation came from the state government. I’ll give you a second to think about this. When the government creates all the jobs, the investors in the government, you and me, have higher payrolls.

How long can this last? It’s comes to point where you are paying your own salary or the money runs out and the government has no choice but to have massive layoffs.

What happens when there are no more roads to fix? What happens when there are no more schools that can be turned green?

By then, new industries will have opened.

Are the people that are going to lose those manual jobs qualified for the new jobs that will be available? Just think about the workers at the Auto Plants. Most have family history in Ford or GM. Their mother and father worked there and they are continuing on the tradition. All fine and good.

But what happens when that company fails? The mother and father loses their pension and you lose your job. Now, your stuck with the feeling, ‘what am I going to do next, all I know is cars.’

Are we going to be left with the next generation knowing only manual labor because those are the jobs the government provides?

That should scare the hell out of you. Thinking the government is responsible for providing you with the ability to provide for your family. I’m scared thinking my daughter won’t be able to buy a house because I want to stay in mine right now.

To add insult to injury, think about all the corruption we are hearing about right now. I bet the politicians are all getting their phones checked for wire tapping before the bill is signed. You know that there are people waiting to pay to play with this money. And it only makes sense.

There are thousands of counties in this country. Who will get what money? I’m betting it won’t go to neighborhoods that didn’t raise money for the politician sitting in power. They have people to reward for getting them elected and they will be at the head of the line. We don’t even think of this as corruption anymore. And that’s a shame.

So this Trillion Dollar stimulus will provide the American People with much needed infrastructure improvement, massive debt, numerous temporary jobs, happy politicians, even happier lobbyist, and the death of the American Dream.

One day when our children ask was it worth it, what will we say?

What I’ve Missed: News In A Nutshell

January 3rd, 2009 | By

I’ve been gone for to long. Let’s catch up.

Barack “The Magic Negro”

I had to start off with this. I didn’t hear the song back in 2007. I’m sure I would’ve laughed then.

I just have one question. When in the hell did our skin get so thin? I thought the whole point of being black was having the ability to deal with all the tough shit and get through. Or did I miss something? Of course I didn’t miss anything. We love the double standard.

What would happen if l a black man made a parody of a white man? I’m not even going there. You hear them all the time. But as soon as some thing is taken out of context we jump to say ‘there they go’.

No. There you go. Putting credence in someone and something that really doesn’t matter. Making a big deal out of something you do on a normal basis. Wanting to point a racial finger like that is some how going to change something in your community.

Like I said in my previous article, I’m like Katt Williams, I’m getting a laugh out of everything this year. I want to live longer and happier.

Barack ” The magic Job Creator”

People I want you to really think about this. What kinda job is rebuilding a school? For those of you who think it is a great job, I question, how many schools are actually going to be built where you live?

O.K. let me slow down and explain. Infrastructure in the U.S.A. does need to be improved. Our bridges are falling, our schools are outdated, and if going green saves the government I’m all for it. But these are local jobs. And I’m guessing they will be going to the lobbyist of the present governments choice.

This does not provide a stable job creation system for two major reasons.

You will be paying your own salary. The government gets it’s money from you. So if the government is paying you, then you are in fact paying yourself. If that is the road you want to take, start your own business.

I know that government jobs are a necessity. But if government is the only institution that is creating jobs, then we have a problem. A huge problem. How long does it take to build a school? How long does it take to fix a road? And what happens when you finish?

Bringing us to the second reason. These jobs won’t last. Is the government going to go around and break shit just to give you more to fix? No. Instead, a few years from now, there will be a massive government layoff and you will be a victim. It’ll probably happen right when you sign your mortgage papers or buy that new fuel efficient car.

And it won’t be the governments fault. They told you the jobs would be for infrastructure. You knew they would be temporary and yet you attached your future to that job. So in eight years you will be begging for a Republican to get into office and create real lasting job creation.

Why do you think we don’t let one party stay in office that long? One party comes in a fixes a mess left by the other, while creating new problems for the other party to fix on their go around. Obama is going to stick his name to a huge government let down to the people. Private industry creates lasting jobs. Government jobs create more bureaucracy.

So while you are waiting for those jobs, lobbyist and loyalist will be getting paid first. You know I’m right.

Blagojevich “The Senate Seat Giver”

Roland Burris, what can I say? You know how you see a car wreck and you can’t help but look. This is the funniest car crash I’ve ever seen.

I won’t blame Blagojevich. He is just smart. He knows this is how they play the game and he has survived in Chicago politics by following the rules. You want to say I’m incompetent, I’ll do my job and make you prove it. You won’t me out, come and get me. You gotta respect the moxy.

But did Burris have to come out and play the race card. I’m being nice. He came out with race cash. I’m not waiting for a bill to come in the mail, I’m paying my bill in full, out right. Try to challenge the only black Senator to a Senate seat. Go ahead I dare you.

Damn. My very first experience with race cash. And I’m laughing. This is what we all deserve. We act like race is the only issue that causes us problems. I think it’s less about race as it is wealth. But when you don’t have wealth, you play to your strengths, your color.

I hope the Sergeant at Arms makes Burris sit in the back of the Senate. Then he’ll feel like he really belongs. When he wants to sit in the front, he can act like its 2009 not 1960……….

Santa Brings Death to Christmas

I’m not going to even write about the bastard that took 7 lives at a Christmas party. I hope hell turned the furnace up for his arrival.

I just want to send a prayer out to every one that was personally touched by this tragedy. You have a nation of people praying for you. There is nothing I nor anyone else could say that would take away the pain but know you are in our hearts and minds.

War In the Middle East

Israel started it. No. Hamas started it. No. It was all Bush’s foreign policy. No. It’s all an Israeli political ploy. No. It’s Hamas’s outcry to get from under Israel’s thumb.

B.S. It’s a few people that profit from the war never ending. The sad part is they use religion like a sword. It has nothing to do with God. It has to do with man. Man wanting power and position and not caring who gets hurt to get it.

Hamas wanted land, they got it. But it’s not enough. Now Israel has to be destroyed. Why? Is it because they are Jewish? No. It’s because they occupy land someone else wants. Their religion is just a means to an end.

So the people have no food but they have guns and bullets. The people have no jobs, so they become suicide bombers to provide for their families. The people have no hope, so they strike back with hate and violence. How do I know all this? Personal experience from my own community.

Let us fix our problems here then maybe we can judge Israel and the Palestinians.

All that in a nutshell.

A Scandal Is A Scandal: Or Is It?

December 16th, 2008 | By

I have a couple simple questions. Since the new president elect has promised transparency in his administration, why do we have to wait until he takes office to get it. O.K. This is not really about Barack Obama. It’s more about the scope of scandal.

Here are my questions.

Why will no news organization point out the fact that Blagojevich is a Democrat?

You know the basics of advertising. A company will attach their name to a funny slogan or memorable character in hopes that every time you think of that melody or figure you think of their product. Personally, my favorite is freecreditreport.com. You know the singers that completely change song style each commercial. I look forward to hearing what they will do next.

Anyways, does this example give an answer to my question? Do the news organizations not mention Blago as a Democrat because they don’t want you think scandal when ever you think of the party? Is that fair game for a credible news organization? Hiding or omitting information to further push their cause.

Will you fail to put 1 and 1 together? Will you just assume that this is ploy by some unknown white man to tarnish the name of Barack Obama? I ask this for a simple reason. No matter the cleanliness of Obama in this situation, he is still born and breed in Chicago politics. If this is the norm, do you not believe that some where along the way Barack Obama didn’t have to pay to play?

Another question. Did you realize what kind of scandal each party participates in?

With the exception of Bill Clinton, most sex scandals involve Republicans. I have no problem saying that because it’s true. The party that rallies for moral value is often the party caught with it’s pants down. I heard this on this on a t.v. show once. You find what a man rallies against and you just might find his corruption.

In the same breath, the Democrats are often caught with their hand out. Which kinda throws a monkey wrench in my previous analyzation because they preach putting your hand out. They tell the American people that the government owes them more than truthfulness and transparency. And they believe the same. They are owed more than just the chance and opportunity to serve the American People. They should receive something tangible.

Where does this leave the American people? Republicans following people they believe in a speech but not by the practice of their morality. Democrats having to pay to get a seat at the table to give a voice to those who disapprove of corruption. And Independents in the middle trying to figure out which is less of two evils.

And that is a tough decision to make. A true moral conservative should have serious reservations about supporting someone that will lend credibility to the destruction of our most basic values. A true free liberal should have serious reservations about building a Socialist society when the foundation is steeped in corruption from the beginning. And those in the middle are just praying for a chance to vote without sacrificing too much to either side.

Is corruption nothing more than a necessary evil?

This is a question with to many side to have just a simple answer. First, you have to define corruption. Now Webster has the definition as impairment of integrity, virtue, or moral principle. So what are some real cases of corruption. Those I mentioned above.

If you are morally against same sex marriage because you think it’s going to destroy the traditional state of marriage, then don’t go and cheat on your spouse. Plan and simple. In doing so, you are a corrupt man or woman.

If you are morally against the rich because you don’t think they pay their fair share, then don’t try to rob or extort those who may not have money but still want to serve in public office. Plan and simple. Where is the integrity in telling a poor man he can’t serve his people because he can’t pay you?

That’s the black and white of it. What about the gray areas? Is Nepotism a form of corruption? Is racial preference a form of corruption? What about situational preference? (O.K. I think I just made that one up but I’ll explain in a moment.) Let’s take them one at a time.

Nepotism is when you give a family member special favor, like a job. Are you compromising your integrity because you want your son or daughter to one day control the business you started? Are you lessening your values by placing a corporation in the hands of your sister’s offspring? Are you down grading your moral value giving your brother a contract to help him start his new business?

No. Unless, those things should be in control of the American People. If you are a Senator giving away contracts to your family when the money comes from tax payers dollars, corrupt. You should never be allowed to hand your child a House seat. I mean are these things so hard to figure out?

O.K. Racial Preference. Are you compromising your integrity in hiring all black woman to work in an urban beauty salon? Is your virtue lessened by only playing Hip Hop music that draws in a black crowd? Does your morality take a hit because you surround yourself with like minded people with hopes of serving those in the community to which you belong?

No. Unless, you hold public office. It is wrong to hire an all white or all black staff when you are holding public office, especially if you have a mixed community. Especially when you campaigned to all those in the community. The moment you decide to shut out any ethnicity, you lose a portion of you moral value and in doing so become corrupt.

What about Situational Preference? Are you compromising your integrity by hiring a man with two kids instead of a high school student that still lives with his mother? Do you lack virtue because you donate money to an organization for battered women because you were once in their shoes? Are you morally stained because you chose to rent your house to a white woman living on the street at a discount price instead of a black college kid that can afford full price?

No. You guessed it. Unless you are a paid public official. You can longer choose what’s best for your mental well being. You have to decide what’s best for the people you serve. All woman are not battered woman, so you also have to contribute to other circumstances. And yes, maybe it is in the best interest of the people to have one less homeless person on the street, so both your conscience and your civil duty can be served with out damaging your morality.

So, Is corruption really a necessary evil? Does it have a legitimate place in our government? Or does it take to much compromised virtue, integrity, and morality from our society?

I think we have every right to expect more from our elected officials. Often it is said that they don’t get paid enough to avoid corruption. I say you pay them more and it’ll cost more to play the game.

So, no I don’t believe it’s necessary. But I do believe it’s inevitable. We are only human. We take the lessons we’ve learned and apply them to all aspects of our life. If you did give your son a job working in your business, why would it be wrong to do the same when you become Mayor? If you did give a contract to your brother even though his bid was higher, why should it be a problem when you get on the appropriations committee?

Because it is. If your son ruins your company, it was your risk to take. If your brother botches a new building, you take the hit. As soon as you choose to serve the American People, the rules change. You are no longer affecting just your legacy, you are now controlling the future of your town, your state, or this country. You should act accordingly. I’m just saying.

The Democrats Need A Sarah Palin: She Would Fight Pay To Play

December 15th, 2008 | By

They call Chicago politics, “Pay to Play”. How funny is that? Once I asked, How much is your vote worth? Who knew you were the last person to get paid? Who knew other politicians were getting paid before you even got the chance to go into the ballot box?

I guess most of us did. No one can deny the corruption that in evident in almost every society. The question becomes who will stand up and be the Democrats’ Sarah Palin.

During the campaign season, no one on the left paid attention to Sarah Palin’s record. They laughed when Tina Fey made a funny but misleading attack on Palins’ intelligence. They said she was nothing but a prop used by McCain because Obama didn’t pick Hillary. Basically, they demeaned the woman.

Now with the Blagojevich scandal completely diminishing the Obama pre-presidency, the Democrats should be praying for a politician like Sarah Palin. In all their complaining about Palin’s experience, don’t you find it funny they could use her skill of cleaning up corruption.

Everyone wanted to look over the fact she was a maverick. I know that word was used like a campaign badge of honor, but none the less it was true. She came to power in a state that was riddled with corruption. Alaska is America’s biggest oil producing state and money flows between politicians and oil companies.

Instead of ‘Paying to Play’, Palin ran on the true purpose of the civil service; to best serve the people. She didn’t become Governor because she kissed the ass of all the right people. Well, actually she did. She just choose the right people. The people of the state of Alaska.

And one level wasn’t enough. When she was on the city council, she didn’t agree with the policy of her mayor, so she ran for his job and won. When she figured out she couldn’t clean up her local government because her state government was corrupt, she ran for state office.

She lost her first bid to be Governor, so she took a job working at the Alaska Conservation Committee. She hit the Jackpot. She was now in the main hub of most of Alaska’s corruption. And she did something about it. She raised her voice so she could be heard and the people of Alaska listened.

Upon defeating an incumbent Governor of her own party, she went right to fighting corruption. She signed ethic reforms into law and now Alaska has a more transparent government.

I’m sure it was not easy. Politics are hard when you have to run against someone of another party. The level of difficulty increases when first you have to fight within your own party. Especially when you don’t follow their way of getting to the top. I guess I should say, especially when you plan on destroying their way of getting to the top.

With all that being said, Who will be the Democrats’ Sarah Palin?

Now, I know Barack Obama promised change you can believe in but he can’t help in this situation. First, let me say, I’m impressed with Obama’s decisions in the last few weeks. I’m glad he doesn’t really plan to go through with all the ridiculous promises he made during the election. But he can’t stop the corruption in Chicago.

The problem with a machine is one part can make the entire machine fail. That is very true of the Chicago Machine. If not handled properly, the Blagojevich scandal could cause alot of skeletons to fall out of alot of closets. The out pour is coming. Just ask Tony Rezko.

Two components of the Chicago Machine are in trouble. Who honestly believes they were the only corrupt ones? When I told you a major reason Obama was elected to the Illinois State Senate involved getting other candidates kicked from the ticket, you were like, So. Well, one of those candidates could have been Illionios’ Sarah Palin.

But because they didn’t pay to play, they were discarded. How can you fight corruption when the people believe in those who were brought up in the corruption? I’m just saying. If my Democratic Governor’s kept getting indicted, I think I would look to another party for guidance. Or at least I’d pay more attention to the candidates from the Democratic side.

If the major Democrats of Illinois supports them, I wouldn’t. We know the guys on the top are corrupt, so do the opposite of what they suggest. You can honestly help a person who wants to bring real change by no longer giving power to those who used their wallets to gain that power.

We control the fate of our politicians. When will we stop making fun of those we don’t agree with and start holding those we give our vote accountable. I’m just saying.
